DAYTON – The Wright State men's soccer team (1-3-1) will hit the road again Wednesday night to open Horizon League play at Milwaukee. First touch is slated for 4 p.m.

SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
Milwaukee enters Wednesday at 1-2-2 on the season. The Panthers started the season unbeaten in their first three games, with a win over Chicago State and draws against Southern Indiana and Loyola Chicago, before dropping their last two matches to Drake and St. Thomas. Milwaukee has four goals on the season with four different goal scorers, but Dominic Zuniga has assisted all four goals
HISTORY VS. MILWAUKEE
Thursday will mark the 40th all-time meeting between Wright State and Milwaukee, a series that the Raiders lead 21-16-2. The Raiders came out on top 4-2 when the two sides met at Alumni Field a season ago.
LAST TIME OUT
The Raiders fell on the road Thursday night, falling to Louisville 3-0.
The Cardinals controlled the opening half, outshooting the Raiders 12-0 over the first 45 minutes, but Wright State remained scoreless thanks to four first-half saves from Alex Normandeau.
The Raiders generated their best chance of the night early in the second half when Gabe Gotting put a shot on target in the 53rd minute, but Louisville goalkeeper Nathaniel Abraham made the save.
Louisville broke through in the 59th minute when Ryan Quintos finished a scoring chance off assists from Noah De Blasis and Braydon Sellers to give the Cardinals a 1-0 lead.
The Cardinals added a second goal just over a minute later as Håkon Edstrøm scored off an assist from Sellers in the 60th minute. Louisville pushed its advantage to 3-0 in the 63rd minute when Sellers found the back of the net on an unassisted goal.
Normandeau finished the night with seven saves while playing all 90 minutes in goal for the Raiders. Gotting recorded Wright State's lone shot and shot on goal of the match.
In the box score, Wright State trailed Louisville in shots (20-1), shots on goal (10-1), and corner kick opportunities (5-1).
LAST SEASON REWIND
Wright State finished 2025 with a 2-13-1 overall record and a 2-7 mark in Horizon League play. Three Raiders earned Horizon League All-League honors in 2025, with Henry Hutchinson and Roman Kedgley being named to the All-League Third Team, while Alessandro Malterer was named a finalist for the Sportsmanship award.
