Box Score The Wright State women's soccer team recorded its second straight road victory in the Horizon League Friday, downing host Cleveland State 2-0. Jen Hansen tallied her third goal of the season and Amy Miller recorded a pair of assists in the victory.
The Green and Gold got the scoring started in the 19th minute when Miller stole a pass from a CSU defender and crossed the ball into the box. After the ball deflected off of Jen Hansen, senior Jodie Shoaf slipped it past the CSU goalkeeper to give WSU a 1-0 lead.
Then in the second half the Raider struck just 1:34 into the frame when Miller again stole a pass from the CSU defender. Miller and Hansen capitalized on the two-on-one situation when Miller's pass found the foot of Hansen to put WSU up 2-0.
Senior goalkeeper Steph Comisar was forced to make three saves in the game as the Raiders outshot CSU 13-5. The Green and Gold also held the advantage in corner kicks at 5-1 and forced two CSU keepers to make nine saves in the game.
