The Wright State women's soccer team used a late rally to tie for the most wins in a single season in program history. The Raiders used goals by Katie Comisar and Amy Miller to defeat the Detroit Titans 2-1 in overtime for the team's 12th win of the season.

After a Mary Parker goal in the 63rd minute gave the Titans a 1-0 lead, the Raiders responded at the 81:57 mark when Katie Comisar took a rebound off of her own shot and headed it past a diving Detroit keeper for her second goal of the season. Neither team was able to find the back of the net for the remainder of the contest, as the Raiders regular season home finale headed to overtime for the second straight year.

The Green and Gold, who defeated Loyola 2-1 in double overtime to end the home portion of their schedule last season, used a corner kick early in the first overtime that led to the game winning goal. The golden goal was netted when Miller took a Megan Mattioda corner kick at the 93:38 mark and headed it into the back of the net from five yards out for her ninth goal of the season, her fourth game-winning tally of 2006.

Steph Comisar, twin-sister of Katie, made 2 saves in goal for the Raiders as Comisar finishes the season with a goals against average of 0.97. The Raiders out shot the Titans 22-5 and took four corner kicks to UDM's zero.

Wright State (12-3-3, 4-2-1 Horizon) will host an opening round game against the Butler Bulldogs on Saturday, October 28, at 5:00. The Raiders will go for their school-record 13th win when they take on the Bulldogs at Alumni Field in a rematch of last season's opening round game in Indianapolis.
