It was a record-setting day for the Wright State women's soccer team as they extended their unbeaten streak to eight games, the longest in program history. Three different Raiders tallied goals and senior goalkeeper Steph Comisar moved into third place on the all-time Wright State shutout list in a 3-0 victory over Bowling Green Sunday at Alumni Field.

Freshman Megan Bush got the Raiders rolling in the 17th minute when she took advantage of a Bowling Green misplay taking a loose ball and placing it in the back of the net for her fourth goal of the season. Thirteen minutes later, senior midfielder Rose Nigro took a Jess Rooma pass from the right flank and put it past the Bowling Green keeper from five yards out for her first marker of 2006.

Sophomore Amy Miller put away any chance of a BGSU comeback when she scored the third goal of the game for the Green and Gold in the 81st minute as she beat Falcon netminder Tiffany Hansen from 15 yards out for her team-leading fifth tally of the season.

Comisar stopped three Bowling Green shots on the way to her third shutout of the season. With the BGSU blanking, Comisar moves into third place all-time, passing former Raider netminder Randi Freeman with her 18th career shutout.

The Raiders, now 6-0-2 on the season, surpassed the 1986 and the 1988 teams' seven-game unbeaten streaks for the longest in the program's 22-year history. The streak is also the longest unbeaten streak to start a season for Wright State.
