
Men's Soccer Falls to Oregon State, 2-0

The Wright State men's soccer team dropped their second game of the Michigan State Classic to Oregon State on Sunday afternoon, falling 2-0 to the Beavers. WSU attempted only six shots in the contest and netminder Tebias Mason recorded eight saves in the contest.
Oregon State got the scoring started in the 7th minute when Robby Christner converted a penalty kick for the first tally. The PK was set up when a handball was called on a WSU defender, resulting in the PK for the Beavers.
The Raiders couldn't convert on their two first half shot attempts and held OSU at bay to trail 1-0 at the half.
The Beavers tallied their second goal of the game just four minutes into the second half to extend their lead.
The Raiders attempted four shots in the second half, as OSU outshot WSU 21-6 in the contest, and the Oregon State keeper made three saves in the contest.
The Green and Gold fall to 1-1 on the season after concluding play at the MSU Classic. Wright State will return to action on Friday, September 7 at the Pittsburgh Soccer Classic. WSU will face off with host Pittsburgh at 7:30.
