Box Score After 110 minutes, 24 shots and 12 corner kicks Friday night at Cleveland State, the Wright State women's soccer team posted a scoreless draw. The Raiders took a season-high in shots, but CSU keeper Kelly Zinkiewich made 10 saves in the match to record the draw.
In the first half of play, Wright State held an eight to three advantage in shots and forced the CSU keeper to make two saves. The second half saw the Raiders out-shoot the Vikings 10-0 and the Green and Gold held a 6-2 edge in shots in the two over time periods before the clock expired.
WSU held the advantage in almost every offensive category, but the CSU defense continued to turn them away. WSU lined ten shots on-goal and had one shot ring off the post in the match. Senior Jess Rooma led the way with eight shots, while Jen Agueci recorded four shots.
Overall, nine different player took shots in the match and seven players forced the CSU keeper to make a save on the night.
Sophomore goalkeeper Meghan Hackerson made four saves to post her fourth shutout of the season. In her career, Hackerson now has 11 shutouts in 32 starts in net.
Wright State (5-5-1, 0-0-1 Horizon) now heads to Chicago to take on Loyola on Sunday afternoon starting at 3:30.
