Women's Soccer Falls 1-0 at Cleveland State

Box Score

A goal by Sylvia Olsby late in the first half turned out to be the difference as the Wright State women's soccer team came out on the short end of a 1-0 final against Cleveland State in Horizon League action Friday night at Krenzler Field.

Olsby tallied her third goal of the year at the 42:59 mark of the first half as she connected following a shot from Natalie Daniels that hit the post.

The Raiders attempted 11 shots in the contest, including six in the second half, but came away empty as Viking goalkeeper Kelly Zinkiewich recorded four saves.

Jenna Cooper led WSU with five shots while Brittany Persaud had three and Morgan Butler two. Goalkeeper Brooke McCurdy notched four saves.

Wright State (7-8, 2-3 Horizon), which saw its four-game winning streak snapped, looks to bounce back on Sunday at Valparaiso starting at 2:00 Dayton time.
