Women Drop 4-2 Decision at Creighton

Box Score

The women's soccer team led 2-1 early, only to see Creighton score the final three goals to defeat the Raiders 4-2 Wednesday night in Omaha.

Liz Soto opened the scoring at the 13:27 mark of the first half as she took a corner kick by Brittany Persaud and connected on a header into the right side of the net.  It was Soto's third goal of the season.

Creighton (7-4-1) answered with a goal two minutes later, only to see the Raiders respond just 2:13 after that to retake the lead.  Bekah Bonny recorded her fifth goal of the year as she beat her defender and won a one-on-one battle with the Blue Jay goalkeeper.  Persaud was again credited with the assist, her seventh.

The Jays, however, tied it at the 21:36 mark of the half and then went in front to stay with two goals in the second half.

Wright State (5-6-2) returns to Horizon League play on Sunday with a contest at Green Bay starting at 1:00 Eastern.
