
Women Roll Past Chicago State 81-40

The Wright State women's basketball team hit 12 three-pointers and led the entire way in rolling to an 81-40 win over Chicago State Monday night at WSU's Nutter Center.
WSU jumped out to a 23-7 lead eight minutes into the contest and eventually went up 41-18 at the half as the Raiders shot 41 percent for the period from the field, including seven of 21 from three-point range. The Cougars, meanwhile, shot 32 percent.
Wright State gradually built on the advantage in the second half, going up as much as 75-28 on a Breanna Stucke three with 5:52 to play.
The Raiders shot 39 percent for the game overall, 12 of 34 from behind the arc, and hit 11 of 15 foul shots while CSU shot 29 percent altogether and was only three of 11 from three-point range. WSU also led 54-33 in rebounds, 34-14 in points in the paint, 22-7 in points off of turnovers and 22-6 in second-chance points.
Tay'ler Mingo led Wright State with 17 points while Ciara Patterson had 14 points and Lexi Smith 11, both off the bench as the Raiders finished with a 42-8 differential in bench scoring. Smith collected nine rebounds as did Richelle van der Keijl. Tayler Stanton had nine points and eight boards.
Wright State (9-3) hosts Central State on Wednesday at noon at the C.J. McLin Gymnasium.
