Box Score The Wright State women's soccer team scored two goals in a 2:18 span in the first half and made that stand up for a 2-0 Horizon League victory over Detroit Saturday afternoon at Alumni Field.
Freshman Stevee Hazel gave the Raiders a 1-0 lead at the 37:02 mark of the first half with her second goal of the season and junior Kalee Thompson followed with an insurance goal just 2:18 later, her first goal of the season.
WSU led 18-8 in shots and 6-2 in corner kicks. Junior goalkeeper Halle Pyle recorded her second shutout of the season and the third for the team overall as she gathered in three saves.
Wright State (4-6-1, 1-0-1 Horizon) hosts Green Bay on Saturday, October 4, at 2:00.
