Women's Soccer Defeats Cleveland State in Home Finale

The Wright State women's soccer team closed out the home portion of its schedule with a 2-0 win over Cleveland State Wednesday night at Alumni Field.

After a scoreless first half, senior forward Natalie Sedlock put the Raiders up for good at the 48:23 mark of the second half with her team-leading fourth goal of the season.  Sophomore midfielder Sarah Colvin delivered a corner kick from the left side towards the middle, where Sedlock knocked it in.  It was the team-best four assist of the year for Colvin.

Sophomore forward Savannah Carmosino added an insurance goal at the 82:20 mark as she received a long kick from senior goalkeeper Halle Pyle and connected on a break-away shot for her second goal of the season.  It was the first collegiate assist for Pyle.

Pyle posted her seventh career shutout and third of the season, recording four saves in doing so.

WSU led 18-13 in shots and 9-1 in corner kicks.

Wright State (6-7-1, 3-3-1 Horizon) travels up to Green Bay on Saturday, October 24, for an 8:00 Eastern match.
