Women's Soccer Falls at Ball State

The Wright State women's soccer team lost at Ball State Friday night 2-1.

The Cardinals jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first half as Abigail Boswell scored at the 11:13 mark while Gabby Veldman added a goal at the 17:38 mark.

Senior Paige Aguilera drew WSU to within one at the 57:51 mark of the second half with her first goal of the season on a header following a foul turnover.  Sophomore Niki Romero was credited with the assist, her first as a Raider.

Ball State led 25-8 in shots, but Wright State goalkeeper Halle Pyle recorded eight saves.

The Raiders, now 1-2, host Belmont in the home opener Sunday afternoon at 2:00 at Alumni Field.
