Playing in front of family and friends in her hometown, senior Niki Romero notched the game winner with less than 10 minutes remaining to give the Wright State women's soccer team a 1-0 win over Weber State in the UNLV Invitational to open the 2017 campaign.

First Half Highlights

45 scoreless minutes passed as Weber State fired seven shots while the Raiders has just three shots.

Second Half Highlights

The heat was turned up for Wright State as they posted five shots to just two for Weber.  Romero's goal came at the 82:41 mark from a penalty kick.  Keeper Miranda Thomas posted the shutout.  Romero and Aaliyah Patten each had two shots as four others ended with one shot.

Next Up

The Raiders stay in Las Vegas to play host UNLV Sunday at 4 pm eastern.  Wright State will open at home Thursday night, hosting Western Michigan at 7 pm.
