The Wright State women's soccer team posted its second win of the season as the Raiders won 2-1 at Miami Sunday afternoon.
First Half Highlights
Emily Rotterman and
Jordyne Helinski each had two shots while
Aaliyah Patten accounted for the fifth shot by the Raiders in the first 45. Miami registered six total shots as WSU goalie
Miranda Thomas made four saves.
Second Half Highlights
The second half started much like the first half with both sides exchanging shots and close chances until junior
Kayla Schrubb headed in her first Raider goal at 68:15.Â
At 85:54, the Raiders notched goal two by Niki Romero, her second of the year. The assist went to Patten. The RedHawks (0-4) came back quickly as Olivia Winnett picked up a goal at 89:09.
Helinski led WSU with three of the team's 10 total shots. Romero, Patten and Roderman each had two. Miami had 14 shots. WSU's Maddie Jewell played the goal for the Raiders in the second half.
Next Up
The Raiders (2-2) will be back in action as they host St. Bonaventure Thursday night at 7 pm.
