Wright State women's soccer team was victorious in a tough road battle at Green Bay 2-1 Saturday night.
First Half Highlights
The first half saw a very evenly contested half of soccer with the Raiders creating a couple of chances but were unable to find the back of the net. While the Phoenix outshot the Raiders nine to five in the half, the Raiders were able to place three of their shots on goal compared to one by the Phoenix.
Second Half Highlights
Ten minutes into the second half, freshmen midfielder
Erin Graefen put the Raiders on the board with her first goal of her Raider career as the ball fell to her feet after a
Mattie Cutts header was saved by the Phoenix goalkeeper Kelly Kent. In the 85
th minute, senior
Sarah Colvin continued her strong play by scoring her fifth goal of the season on assists by
Jordyne Helinski and
Aaliyah Patten. This goal proved to be the game winner as two minutes later, Green Bay found the goal to pull within one. The Raiders finished the game with ten total shots on goal compared to three by the Phoenix. This victory moves the Raiders to 2-0 in conference play.
