Wright State
WSU is 3-3 on the season after going 1-1 last week with a victory over St. Bonaventure 3-0 and a loss to #3 West Virginia 2-0. The Raiders have won two of their last three contests. Â
Maddie Jewell led the Raiders last week with a shutout against St. Bonaventure and a strong showing against the Mountaineers. The three goals scored against St. Bonaventure is a season high. Â
Valparaiso
The Crusaders are 4-2, winning their last last two against Eastern Illinois and Belmont. They are 4-0 at home and 0-2 on the road. Valparaiso is led by an experienced core of players, including sophomore midfielder Ali Quillen, a Beavercreek native. She started all 19 matches as a freshman, and has played in all six this season. Junior Sydney Griffin currently leads the Crusaders' offense with four goals, and one assist. They were picked in the preseason to finish fifth in the Missouri Valley Conference, after finishing fourth last season in the Horizon League.Â
Bowling Green
The Falcons come into the game with a record of 3-2, following a victory at Detroit Mercy on Wednesday evening. The Falcons have been very strong on the road this season, boasting a 3-1 record. They are led on offense by senior Skylar Fleak with five goals and one assist and redshirt junior Erica Hubert with two goals. Fleak is the sister of Braden Fleak, who is second on the all-time Division I scoring list for the Wright State with 35 total goals, finishing his career in 2009. Victoria Cope leads the goaltending efforts for the Falcons with a 1.20 goals against average by allowing six goals in five games, 11 total saves and one shutout. Bowling Green is led by first-year head coach Matt Fannon. Â
