@WSUVBall Heads North to UIC and Milwaukee

Riding a two-match winning streak, the Wright State volleyball team will hit the road for matches at UIC Friday and at Milwaukee Saturday. Friday's 7 pm match will be shown on ESPN3 while the Saturday match at 5 pm will be shown on ESPN+.

Wright State
The Raiders are currently 11-9 and 3-5. Freshman libero Jenna Story was named the Horizon League Defensive Player of the Week after posting 57 digs in wins at IUPUI 3-1 and at home against Northern Kentucky 3-2. She also had 10 assists in the nine sets. Mallory Ladd collected 33 kills to lead the Raider attack with five blocks as Teddie Sauer put up 30 kills, five aces, 20 digs and 12 blocks. Alannah Lemming pitched in with 20 kills and 11 blocks.

UIC
The Flames are 13-8 and 6-2 headed into the weekend. One of UIC's two losses came at the hands of the Raiders on Sept. 22 by a score of 3-1 at WSU. UIC has won four straight, including a victory over preseason favorite and defending champion Cleveland State last Saturday. UIC Volleyball's Kiera James was named the Horizon League Offensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday.

Milwaukee
The Panthers are 5-16 and 4-4 after beating Youngstown State 3-0 and Oakland 3-2 at home last weekend. Milwaukee, which won the OU match in the fifth set 21-19, as Kylie Wilks was one of four players to finish with double-digit kills on the day for MKE, tallying 14 for the match – including six in that final frame as she took over late. Shanon Volpis finished with a season-high 13 kills, Carmen Heilemann added another 12 and Shari Volpis 11.
