DAYTON – Wright State volleyball coach Travers Green has announced the addition of Haidyn Sokoloski to join the Raider program and attend Wright State University beginning next fall.
Â
Sokoloski, a native of Flower Mound, Texas, comes to Wright State after a four-year collegiate softball career at Missouri and Oklahoma State.
Â
"We're really excited to add Haidyn to our program. It's such a unique and cool story to have someone use their final season of eligibility to compete in a different sport at the collegiate level," Green said. "What stands out most to me is the experience and perspective Haidyn brings from her time as a Division I student-athlete. We're looking forward to the impact she'll have on our program, her leadership within the gym, and the example she can set for the rest of our players with her maturity, competitiveness, and experience in college athletics.
Â
A standout multi-sport prep athlete, Sokoloski was a first team all-district performer as a volleyball player at Marcus High School as both a junior and senior after earning second team honors as a sophomore. She was also named DFW All-Area Senior of the Year, first team all-district, and MVP of the Year during her senior campaign on the softball diamond.
Â
Sokoloski appeared in 123 career collegiate softball games, playing her first two seasons on an Oklahoma State squad that made back-to-back NCAA Women's College World Series appearances before playing the last two seasons at Missouri. She was named a 2022-2023 Easton/NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete and a 2025 Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete for her efforts in the classroom, along with spots on the 2022-23 Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team and the 2024-2025 First-Year Academic SEC Honor Roll.
Â
Wright State volleyball has made five NCAA appearances in the last seven years, winning five Horizon League regular season titles over that span along with the 2020, 2022, 2023 and 2025 Horizon League tournament titles. The five NCAA appearances in the last seven seasons are the only tourney appearances in program history.
