Raiders Look to Rebound from Road Losses
The Wright State volleyball team will look to rebound from three road losses as they host Green Bay Sunday at 2 pm at WSU's McLin Gym. The match will be shown live on ESPN3 or fans can follow on live stats.
Wright State
The Raiders, 9-8 and 1-4, are coming off a mid-week 3-2 loss at Oakland. WSU dropped the first two sets and forced a fifth set that OU won 15-13. The young Raiders split their last two-game homestand with a win over UIC. Wright State is leading the Horizon League with 106 service aces and fourth in blocks at 2.07 per set. Teddie Sauer tops the circuit in aces at 0.45 per set. Celia Powers and Abby Barcus rank in the league's top ten in kills and freshmen Lainey Stephenson and Jenna Story are in the top ten for assists and digs, respectively. Powers collected 14 kills against Oakland while Sauer had 12 and Alannah Lemming finished with 10.
Green Bay
The Phoenix, 8-8 and 3-1 before hosting Oakland Friday night, have won three straight against IUPUI, Milwaukee and UIC, all on the road. As a team, GB ranks second in hitting percentage, kills and assists. Taylor Wolf sits a top the league with 4.50 kills per set while setter Maddie Yoss does so in assists at 10.10 per set. WSU leads the overall series 30-28, splitting the matches last year.Â

We're really excited to be home. We don't have a lot of home matches this year. I think we only have eight, so whenever we're home we just get really excited. It's nice to sleep in your own bed, practice in your own gym and get after it in front of our fans and other student-athletes
