Softball Continues in Chicago

The Wright State softball team dropped both games Saturday at the Total Control Sports Invitational at The Dome at the Ballpark, losing to DePaul 8-4 and Northern Colorado 12-3.

Game One Summary
  • DePaul scored four in the bottom of the third on four hits and one WSU error.
  • The Raiders shot back with four runs in the top of fifth to tie the game
  • Macey Gunther singled to center for the RBI.
  • Honnah Susor and Lauren Deitrick each picked up an RBI as well.
  • The Blue Demons came back with four in the bottom of the fifth
  • WSU had three hits and took six walks.
  • Maddux Hughes got the start, pitching the first three innings with Ashley Sharp finishing the final three innings.
Game Two Summary
  • Northern Colorado popped out for five in the bottom of the first and seven in the third for a 12-0 lead.
  • The Raiders managed three runs on three hits from Susor, Deitrick and Kennaw, who doubled to get an RBI.
  • Wright State ended with four total hits, including one from Rebekah Lenos.
  • Starter Ally Russell took the loss as Maddux Hughes and Ashley Sharp also saw time on the mound.
The Raiders are now 0-4 and will finish the tournament in Chicago Sunday with a game against Fort Wayne at 1:30 eastern.
