The Wright State softball team took on Morehead State in a midweek double header at home Wednesday afternoon, losing both games 7-3 and 4-1.

The first game found the Raiders unable to take advantage of opportunities to score. Macey Gunther had two hits and two RBI as Lauren Deitrick notched her first home run of the season. Honnah Susor and Kaitlyn Skinner also added hits for the Raiders. Ally Russell took the loss as she, Jordan Kennaw, and Maddux Hughes combined to allow only four earned runs in the game.

In game two, Morehead State limited the Raiders to two hits. Madison Whitaker and Kaitlyn Skinner were the only Raiders to collect hit. Lauren Deitrick hit a sacrifice fly to bring in Whitaker for their lone run of the game. Ashley Sharp took the loss for WSU, giving up only two earned runs over seven innings.

The Raiders drop to 14-25 on the season. They will be back in action on April 24 at the WSU softball field in a double header against conference foe Youngstown State.
