@WSU_SB Holds on for Big Win

The Wright State softball team scored six in the first inning and hung on for a 10-9 win against first-place UIC in Chicago Friday afternoon. The Flames threatened in the bottom of the seventh, scoring three runs but were held off by the Raiders.

Madison Mills collected three RBI on three hits and Rebekah Lenos also ended with three RBI from two hits, including a double.  Madison Whitaker drove in two runs and posted two hits.  Macey Gunther and Kaitlyn Skinner each had two hits.  Starting pitcher Ashley Sharp picked up her 11th win of the season as she had three strikeouts over seven innings.

Wright State is now 15-28 and 9-8.  The Raiders will play a doubleheader at UIC Saturday afternoon.
