@WSU_SB Drops Two at NKU

The Wright State softball team fell twice at Northern Kentucky Thursday, 2-1 and 7-0.  WSU goes to 10-19 on the season, with a 4-4 conference record.
 
Game one was very closely contested between the two teams, as both pitchers were strong on the mound. WSU's Ashley Sharp pitched six innings and held the Norse to two runs and five hits while striking out four and walking none.  NKU's Taylor Ginther held the Raiders to only one run in seven innings. The Raiders managed three hits as Macey Gunthered homered in the sixth, Madison Whitaker doubled, and Madison Mills picked up a single.
 
In game two, NKU put up seven runs along with strong pitching.  For the Raiders, Madison Whitaker and Kaitlyn Skinner picked three and two hits, respectively.   Ally Russell took the loss, giving up four runs but only one earned in four innings.
