Fairborn, OH - The Wright State women's soccer team was in action yet again Sunday afternoon, when it hosted the Sycamores of Indiana State University at Alumni Field. While the Raiders earned advantages in almost every statistical category, they were unable to put the ball past ISU keeper Hannah Sullivan, and fell by a 2-0 final score.Â
First Half
The opening half of Sunday's match was played relatively evenly, with both teams having their chances for shots. The game remained scoreless until the 37th minute when a Katie Wells free kick found its way past Raiders goalkeeper
Maddie Jewell to put the Sycamores on top. The Raiders managed three shots in the first half, while the Sycamores made four attempts, two of which were on net. At the halftime whistle, the Raiders trailed 1-0.
Second Half
The Raiders came alive in the second half, unleashing a flurry of shots toward the Sycamore net. In the second half alone, the Raiders managed 10 shots, six of which were on target.
