
Raiders fall to St. Bonaventure Friday afternoon

The Wright State women's basketball team battled against St. Bonaventure all afternoon before the Bonnies final free throws handed the Raiders a 57-56 loss on Friday in the first of two games in Orlando, Florida.
The Raiders are right back in action on Saturday, taking on UCF at 1:30 p.m.
With just 55 seconds left to play in the contest, St. Bonaventure (3-8) headed to the line following a Wright State (5-5) foul, making both free throws and what would ultimately be the game deciding free throw to pull away 57-56.
Junior Tyler Frierson and senior Michal Miller both finished the contest with 12 points, respectively. Miller went 5-for-15 from the field and finished the contest 1-for-2 from the free throw line. She pulled down three rebounds and provided two assists. Frierson finished the afternoon shooting 6-for-10 from the field and pulled down a team leading 10 rebounds (six offensive, four defensive).
The Raiders shot 38.1 percent for the game, while the Bonnies finished the afternoon shooting 42.0 percent. Wright State was 5-for-7 (71.4 percent) from the free throw stripe as St. Bonaventure finished with a free throw percentage of 83.9 (10-for-12).
Wright State won the battle on the boards, outrebounding St. Bonaventure 38-27 overall while pulling down more offensive rebounds (18-7).
