1^st Inning
In her third start of the tournament, Olivia Otani worked quickly in the opening inning, setting down the Warhawks in order after allowing a lead-off single. The Raider offense also got off to a fast start, loading the bases on three straight walks and forcing a ULM pitching change. Madison Nunez smacked a ball into center for a double which scored teammates Lauren Deitrick and Madison Whitaker.
 
3^rd Inning
After ULM answered the Raiders with two runs of their own, Wright State grabbed their second lead of the game thanks to two Warhawk defensive errors and a Madison Hartman RBI single.
 
4^th Inning
The Warhawks scored two more runs in the top of the 4^thto continue the back-and-forth matchup, and the Raiders once again responded by taking back the lead. Madison Whitaker continued her excellent weekend with a double and eventually scored on the play on an error along with Meredith Keel. 
 
5^th Inning
A Raider error allowed the Warhawks to tie the game at 5 in the top of the frame. Then, the Wright State hit parade began. Three straight singles loaded the bases for the Raiders and Whitaker once more did the damage with a 2 RBI single to left. Lauren Deitrick then singled to score Keel, and Whitaker made a heads up play and stole home for the 10^thRaider run.
 
7^th Inning
Makenna Durieux stepped into the circle to close out the game for Wright State. The freshman pitched a big scoreless inning in the sixth. ULM threatened in the inning, bringing the tying run to the plate after scoring two runs and placing runners on the corners. Durieux clinched the Raider victory on a groundout to second after she recorded two big strikeouts.
 
Game Recap
The Raiders (2-3) ended the UAB tournament on a positive note, beating Louisiana Monroe for the second time in two days. Whitaker led the Raider scoring efforts, hitting 8 for 14 at the plate in the tournament (.571) an adding 5 RBIs, 4 runs, and 3 walks for an OBP of .611. Wright State returns on February 22 for the Liberty Tournament in Lynchburg, VA.
