Wright State men's basketball guard Tanner Holden has been named the Horizon League's Freshman of the Week for the second time this season, the league announced on Monday afternoon.

He added 13 rebounds to record his third double-double of his first campaign. The totals were his 11th double-digit scoring game and his fourth double-digit rebound night of the season. Holden evenly spread his production over both the first and second halves, turning in nine points and eight rebounds in the first 20 minutes of action before 11 points and five rebounds in the second half on the way to shooting 70 percent from the floor for the night.
Â
Wright State has won three straight games and 11 of its last 12 overall and takes a two-game lead in the HL standings on the road this weekend to Wisconsin. The Raiders will take on Milwaukee Friday night at 8 p.m. before a 2 p.m. tipoff on Sunday afternoon against Green Bay.
Â
Holden's selection is his second HL Freshman of the Week honor this season, after previously earning the award on December 23 following a 27-point, 17 rebound effort at Toledo. Loudon Love was named Horizon League Player of the Week on December 31, while Grant Basile also earned Freshman of the Week accolades on November 25.
