Wright State improved to 3-0 in Horizon League play with 96-69 road victory at Oakland on Friday night in front of a national audience on ESPNU. The Raiders saw five players score in double figures for the second straight game as they pushed their winning streak up to six in a row. Friday night, it was upperclassman leadership pacing Wright State, as Bill Wampler finished with a game-high 21 points, his fourth time with 20+ points this season, while Cole Gentry set the tone in the first half for the offense. Gentry finished with 13 points, all in the opening 20 minutes, as the Raiders took a 20-point lead into the locker room at the half. Jaylon Hall finished with 16 points, Tanner Holden joined Gentry with 13 and Jordan Ash tallied 10 points and a game-high nine rebounds off the bench for Wright State.

The Raiders have now won the six straight games in the series against Oakland, and hit the 90-point mark for the fourth time this season – and third time in the last five games. In its Horizon League opener last weekend, Wright State scored 90 in a win over Green Bay, and is now averaging 89.33 points/game over three conference games.

TITAN TUSSLE
Sunday will be the 60th meeting all-time between Wright State and Detroit Mercy, with the Raiders leading the series 32-27. The teams split last two meetings last season, with each winning on its home court. The Raiders have won 9 of 11 in the series over the last five seasons. Sunday's matchup will come 26 years to the day of the first meeting, which came back on Jan. 5, 1994, a 78-71 Wright State road victory inside Calihan Hall. Since coming to Wright State, head coach Scott Nagy is 5-1 against Detroit Mercy.

MADE IN DETROIT
Detroit Mercy is coming off of a 66-58 home victory over Northern Kentucky on Friday night, as four players scored in double figures and the Titan defense held NKU to under 35 percent shooting. Justin Miller led the team with a season-high 18 points to go with six rebounds and a season-best five assists, while Antoine Davis posted 17 points and six rebounds. Marquis Moore scored 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds and Chris Brandon tallied 10 points and nine caroms and had two more blocks.

After finishing third in the nation in scoring last season, Antoine Davis has his name right back on top of the nation's leaders as he ranks in the top five in the country and at the top of the Horizon League in scoring. Davis has 11 games with 20 or more points and four 30-point outings this season.

The Titans played nine of their 13 non-conference games away from home. The first seven games of the year came on the road and saw the Titans travel just under 10,000 miles round trip (9,980). The seven games away from home was the longest stretch since the Titans played 10 in a row away from the Motor City at the end of the 2000-01 season, which included two regular-season games, the HL Tournament and a run to the NIT Final Four.

GONE STREAKING
Wright State's 27-point win over Oakland on Jan. 3 was its sixth consecutive win, matching its longest stretch from last season, when the Raiders won six in a row from Feb. 3-23 in HL action. That six-game stretch was part of a larger mark that saw Wright State win 9 of 10 from Jan. 19-Feb. 23, 2019. This year's Raiders have won 8 of their last 9 overall. Under Scott Nagy, Wright State's longest winning streak was eight consecutive games, from Dec. 22-Jan. 18 in the 2017-18 campaign.
