Despite a hard fought battle, the Wright State women's tennis team fell to the University of Cincinnati 7-0 at the Western Tennis and Fitness Club on Friday night.
In singles action, the Raiders would battle but ultimately fall to the Bearcats in each contest. In doubles, Wright State's team of
Luisa Pelayo and
Grace Whitney defeated Cincinnati's team of Ioana Guna and Caroline Morton 6-1. The team of Anna Joes and
Anna Marie Reynolds pushed the team of Emma Miceli and Maria Santilli but fell 7-5.
The Raiders are back in action next weekend with three road matches. Wright State takes on Buffalo Friday afternoon before facing off against Binghamton Friday night and finishes the weekend against Niagara on Sunday. Wright State then returns home for three straight matches beginning on March 14.
