The Raiders (4-7-3, 2-3-2 HL) are coming off a 2-1 loss Sunday at Purdue Fort Wayne, while Robert Morris has lost its last three matches and is 4-9-2 overall with a 0-5-2 mark in League play. Nearly all of RMU's success has come on the road this season, however, with the Colonials entering Thursday's match with a 3-4-2 record as the visiting team.
With four matches remaining in the regular season, the Raiders currently sit seventh in the Horizon League standings with eight points, one back of Fort Wayne for the final postseason spot and two points ahead of Cleveland State and IUPUI.
After Thursday, Wright State travels to Oakland on Sunday afternoon before closing the regular season with back-to-back home matches at Alumni Field, beginning October 23 against UIC before a October 27 matching with Northern Kentucky.
Destiny Johnson's four goals leads the Raider offense, while Olga Massombo and Josie Krupp have each added three goals of their own. Johnson's nine points and 21 shots pace the Raiders as well. Six other Raiders have recorded double-digit shot attempts to date: Brittney Petrosky (18), Michelle Rings (16), Kaylin Helinski (16), Massombo (15), Lauren Borchert (15) and Josie (14). Borchert has a team-leading 12 attempts on frame so far this season.
Robert Morris is coming off of back-to-back shutout losses, most recently a 3-0 defeat at home against Oakland on Sunday. Haleigh Finale has a team-leading five goals, while her 16 points and 50 shots also are team highs.
Robert Morris finished its first season as a member of the Horizon League in the spring with a record of 1-8-0. Wright State went on the road and handed the Colonials a 4-0 loss back in mid-March.
