The Raiders responded with better ball control in the second half, knotting the score in the 66th minute on Brittney Petrosky's goal. Lauren Borchert sent a cross into the box that was deflected down by Destiny Johnson to the waiting foot of Petrosky to find the back of the net for the equalizer.

Wright State's offensive momentum late led directly to the game-winner, as a UIC foul was called just outside the box as the clock ticked into the 89th minute, where Michelle Rings drilled home the winner off the free kick opportunity.

Wright State finished the afternoon with a 16-12 shot advantage, with 14 of its opportunities coming in the second half once the momentum swung.
