Men's Soccer set to battle Duquesne on Tuesday night

DAYTON – The Wright State men's soccer team steps out of Horizon League play for the second straight Tuesday night as the Raiders travel to take on Duquesne in a 7 p.m. kickoff. The match is expected to be streamed on ESPN+.

The Raiders (4-8-1, 3-4-1 HL) are coming off of a 1-0 loss last Tuesday at defending national champion Marshall, while Duquesne (7-5-2, 3-2-2 A10) is coming off a double overtime scoreless draw at home Saturday night. Duquesne is 6-0-1 at home this season.
Zion Beaton leads Wright State with four goals this season, while Joe Kouadio and Conner Osterholt each have three goals. The Raiders have seven players with double-digit shots this season, paced by 28 attempts from Beaton and 23 from and Osterholt. Reece Allbaugh has a team-leading five assists, while Presten Manthey and Ids Hannema have each added three.
Duquesne is paced by Maxi Hopfer's 10 goals and 24 points, while he also leads the team with 67 total shot attempts (31 on frame). Six other players have also found the back of the net for Duquesne.
Tuesday will be the first meeting between the teams since a 2018 matchup at Alumni Field, a 6-2 Raider win as Wright State leads the all-time series 4-0, including a victory in the lone matchup played at Rooney Field on the Duquesne campus.
After Tuesday's match, Wright State closes the regular season with two final Horizon League matches, beginning at home on October 30 against Cleveland State before ending the slate at Detroit Mercy on November 3.
