The Wright State women's soccer team is back in action against Detroit Mercy on Wednesday morning as the Raiders welcome the Titans to Wall2Wall Sports Complex in Mason, Ohio for a 9:30 a.m. matchup.*
*Inclement weather is the reason for the location change. The two teams were originally set to matchup at Alumni Field.

WRIGHT STATE – The Raiders are coming off a 2-1 double overtime loss on the road to Cleveland State to open the 2021spring season.
Sydni Callahan gave the visitors a 1-0 lead in the 35th minute, a lead that Wright State held onto until the 76th minute. Cleveland State's Maddie Young connected on a corner kick to tie the contest at 1-all. The first overtime period saw both teams take one shot, but neither was able to convert as CSU's Maddie Young's shot went wide left and
Rylee Clark's shot in the 101st minute was saved. Cleveland State found the advantage in the second OT as the Vikings Elena Gutlove's controlled cross to the back post ended the contest after 106 minutes.
DETROIT MERCY – The Titans are coming off a 2-1 win over Youngstown State on Wednesday Feb. 10. Olivia Parra and Julie Ann Piechocki scored the goals for the Titans, with Piechocki's coming in the 85th minute to un-break a 1-1 tie and prove to be the game-winner. Detroit Mercy out-shot the Penguins in the match, 18-13, putting nine of its 18 shots on frame. Erica Toupin and Paige Myers each had four shots, with Myers assisting on the first goal of the contest. Freshman goalkeeper Marisa Silver was strong in her collegiate debut, making six saves -- three in each half.
SCOUTING THE TITANS -
Detroit Mercy was picked 12
th in the #HLWSOC preseason poll, receiving 30 points total. The Titans finished the 2019 season with an overall record of 2-13-2 overall and 0-8-1 in Horizon League play.
Juniors Julia Ann Piechocki and Hailey Wentzloff, who led Detroit Mercy in goals and points during the 2019 season return for the Titans. The pair combined for 50 shots and 27 shots on goal last season for the Titans.
