
Women's Soccer welcomes IUPUI to Alumni Field on Sunday

DAYTON – The Wright State women's soccer team returns home to Alumni Field on Sunday afternoon as the Raiders welcome IUPUI in Horizon League action. Match time is set for 1 p.m. and will feature a koozie giveaway pregame for fans in attendance.

The Raiders (2-5-3, 0-1-2 HL) are coming off of a scoreless double overtime draw on the road against Green Bay on Thursday night. Wright State has now played extra time in four of its 10 total matches, with all going to double overtime and three ending in ties. The lone non-tie double OT contest this season for the Raiders was the season-opener back on August 19 that saw Wright State come away with a 2-1 win.
Destiny Johnson's three goals leads the Raider offense, while Olga Massombo has added two goals of her own. Johnson's six points and 19 shots pace the Raiders as well. Brittney Petrosky (13) and Michelle Rings (11) also have double-digit shot attempts on the season.
IUPUI (2-7-1, 1-2-0 HL) is coming off a 1-0 overtime loss at home against Northern Kentucky on Thursday night, and has yet to win on the road this season (0-5-1). Elizabeth Bueckers leads the Jaguars with six goals, 13 points and 27 total shots. IUPUI recorded a 5-2-2 overall and HL record this spring, including tallying a come-from-behind 3-2 victory against the Raiders back in March.
