Track & Field resumes indoor season at Marshall Classic

DAYTON — The Wright State men's and women's track and field program will resume its indoor season at the Marshall Classic on Saturday, January 14, inside the Chris Cline Athletic Complex in Huntington, West Virginia.
Field events will get underway at 10 a.m. before running events begin at 1 p.m. Fans can follow the action through live results.Â

LAST TIME OUT
The Raiders had a small contingent of student-athletes open their indoor season last December at the Tiger Open hosted by Wittenberg.
>> Cierra Lively claimed an individual win in the long jump by clearing 1.59 meters. Amelia Harlow (6th // 1.49m), Tatiana Brown (9th // 1.44m), and Callista Hess (10th // 1.39m) collected top-10 finishes in the event as well.Â
>> Kylee Thomas was runner-up in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.60 while also taking fifth out of 29 competitors in the 400-meter dash (1:01.39).
>> Callista Hess finished fifth in the triple jump at 9.53 meters.
>> Melissa Siler was ninth in the long jump at 4.76 meters, followed by Bekah Robertson in 11th (4.72m) and Tatiana Brown in 12th (4.71m) for the Raiders.Â
>> Mia Wyngarden crossed the finish line at 1:01.45 in the 400-meter dash, good for fifth overall. Emma Carr was 22nd in the event with a time of 1:07.82.Â
BACK AGAIN
The Raider men are in their inaugural season of competition, as Wright State announced the addition of men's indoor track & field and outdoor track & field in April 2022. The Raiders previously had student-athletes competing unattached in various indoor and outdoor meets over the years.
UP NEXT
The Raiders will return to competition a week later at the Mastodon Invitational on Saturday, January 21 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
