Men's Basketball closes calendar year at Milwaukee Sunday

DAYTON - The Wright State men's basketball team closes the 2023 calendar year with a Sunday afternoon contest at Milwaukee, with both teams entering the contest with identical 1-1 Horizon League marks. Sunday's game will tip at 3 p.m. ET and fans can follow the action several ways - via live stats, by watching on ESPN+ or by tuning in to the new home for Raider Basketball 101.5 HANK FM and WING 1410 AM. Chris Collins will have all the play-by-play on the radio feed.

Three players scored in double digits on Friday afternoon but Wright State fell 88-77 at Green Bay as Trey Calvin played in his 134th game as a Raider, becoming the all-time leader in games played in Wright State program history. The Raiders were paced by 23 points from both Trey Calvin and Tanner Holden. Calvin tallied 16 of his 23 points in the first half, finishing the afternoon 10-of-23 shooting with a trio of three pointers, while Holden and Noel, who finished with 10 points, each pulled down nine rebounds as the pair combined to shoot 13-of-22 from the floor.
MILWAUKEE MATCHUP
Wright State and Milwaukee have met 71 times, with the Raiders holding a 38-33 lead over Milwaukee in the series, including wins in nine of the last 12 meetings. The first meeting came back on Jan. 17, 1977 in Milwaukee, a 75-66 Panther win. The first Wright State home game was the following year - a 71-69 Raider win on Feb. 13, 1978.

- Milwaukee is currently 6-7 overall on the season and 1-1 in Horizon League play. The Panthers are 4-2 at home, coming off a Friday night home win over Robert Morris in its return to HL play. Two home contests came on campus at the Klotsche Center, where Milwaukee was 1-1 (win vs. NCAA DIII Stout, loss to Southern Mississippi).
- The Panthers are now 4-1 this season in games decided by five points or less after Friday's 78-75 win over Robert Morris, moving to 15-4 in those type games under Bart Lundy.
