Raiders ready for quick trip to face NKU

DAYTON — The Wright State women's basketball team makes a quick trip south to take on Northern Kentucky in Saturday afternoon Horizon League action, with Saturday's contest set for a 4 p.m. tipoff. Fans can keep up with the action by watching on ESPN+ or following live stats.

LAST TIME OUT
Eight different players found the scoring column on Wednesday night but Wright State fell 72-61 to visiting Cleveland State inside the Nutter Center. Layne Ferrell finished with a team-best 15 points on 50 percent shooting, connecting on three three-pointers and she added two assists, two steals, two blocks and a rebound to her final stat line. Lauren Scott also notched double digits with 10 points of her own, while Kacee Baumhower finished with nine points and Alexis Hutchison chipped in eight points. Jada Tate pulled down a game-high nine rebounds off the bench for the Raiders.
CONSISTENT RECORD
Wright State has picked up six wins at home to date with a 67% home winning percentage, but the Raiders have also grabbed five wins away from home and are currently .500 with four victories in true road games. Entering the year, Wright State had a combined five true road wins over the last two seasons.
KNOW THE FOE
- Northern Kentucky is 3-13 overall with a 1-6 mark in the Horizon but just grabbed its first HL win with an 83-51 victory over RMU on Wednesday to snap a seven game losing streak.
- All three NKU victories have come at home, with the other two wins coming over Marshall in November and NCAA Division II Kentucky State in December.
