LOOK WHAT WE'VE GOT HERE, FOLKS
Wright State travels 12 miles across town to play at UD Arena on Monday night, but while the visits have been infrequent, the Raiders are no strangers to UD Arena. Monday marks the second-straight visit that the Raiders have made to the arena to play an opponent other than the building's primary tenant. Wright State's last game inside UD Arena was March 16, 2022 - the site of their 2022 NCAA First Four victory over Bryant. Over the years Wright State has played 22 games at UD Arena, winning 15 of them. The Raiders and University of Dayton Flyers also played the 'Gem City Jam' eight times from 1988-1998, including five times on the UD Arena floor. Prior to the NCAA First Four win, the Raiders last played at UD Arena on Dec. 13, 1997.
GAME FOR A CAUSE
Monday's game between Wright State and Ohio is part of the third annual CareSource Invitationals, a series of college basketball games dedicated to raising awareness and funds for adolescent and young adult mental health.
Centered around the powerful message, "it's Ok to Not be Ok," the CareSource Invitationals aim to normalize mental health conversations nationwide, helping create safe, supportive environments where young people feel empowered to seek help and thrive. CareSource is honored to support communities all over the country by expanding access to mental health resources and support. Remember- It's Ok to Not be Ok.
