DAYTON- The Wright State men's soccer team couldn't get past Xavier on a rainy Tuesday night at Alumni Field, falling 0-2.

Wright State (1-9-1, 1-2) will continue its three-game home stand on Saturday, October 11 as they welcome Northern Kentucky to Alumni Field. First touch is slated for 7 p.m.

Xavier opened the scoring in the second minute off the foot of Harun Bakaran. Cooper Forcellini fired a shot. That shot rebounded off the goalkeeper to the feet of Bakaran, who slotted the ball into the back of the net. The Musketeers doubled their lead in the 28
th minute when George Waites played a pass through to Jabari De Coteau, who buried the ball into the back of the net.

Xavier held their 2-0 lead throughout the second half as the rain started to come down at Alumni Field. Each team fired six shots in the second half.
Alessandro Malterer recorded three saves in the second half to keep the Raiders within striking distance.

In the box score, the Raiders trailed the Musketeers in shots (12-16) and shots on goal (3-8), but led in corner kick opportunities (6-5).
Luis Edmondson,
Sacha Etienne-Courtois, and
Uleto Fuentes played all 90 minutes in the field for Wright State.
