DAYTON - The Wright State men's basketball team returns home to the Nutter Center on Tuesday night as the Raiders welcome in-state foe Toledo to town. Wright State State pulled within five points with 1:47 to play on Thursday night, but host California closed the night at the free throw line for a 77-67 victory over the Raiders on the West Coast.
Michael Cooper paced the Raiders with 17 points on 7-of-13 shooting, adding four rebounds and four assists, while
Dominic Pangonis had 11 points and
Michael Imariagbe added 10 points – all in the second half – while grabbing four boards.
Bryan Etumnu tallied five of his eight points in the first 20 minutes as he finished with six rebounds and
Solomon Callaghan added eight points of his own for Wright State.
COOP NAMED HL FROSH OF WEEK
Michael Cooper was named the Horizon League Freshman of the Week on Monday, Nov. 10. Cooper opened his collegiate career with a pair of starts and double-digit scoring performances last week, including a team-high 17 points on the road against Power opponent Cal. In his debut against Franklin, tallied 10 points and six rebounds as he added a pair of assists and a steal without a turnover. He then added four rebounds and four assists to his 17-point effort on the West Coast.
READY FOR THE ROCKETS
Wright State and Toledo meet for the 17th time in program history on Tuesday and for the third straight year. The Raiders have won three of the last five in the series despite falling 86-77 on the road last year, while the series is currently 8-8 overall all-time.

Toledo has opened the year with back-to-back home losses, first falling to South Alabama on opening night by two points before a 12-point setback to Marshall on Saturday.

Toledo was 18-15 overall in 2024-25 with a 10-8 MAC record, ending the year in the second round of the MAC Tournament.

BUSY NOVEMBER
Wright State is set for eight contests in the month of November, with three games coming at home (Franklin, Toledo, Ohio Wesleyan). The Raiders trekked to the state of California and still head to Florida during the month as well, along with MTE action at the Greenbrier Tip-Off in West Virginia and a quick trip to take on former Horizon League foe Butler the day after Thanksgiving.
