Raiders headed to West Virginia for MTE action

DAYTON - The Wright State men's basketball team hits the road for tournament action at the Greenbrier Tip-Off with two matchups over the weekend. The Raiders tipoff against Radford Saturday at 3:30 p.m. before a 12 p.m. start on Sunday against Kent State. Fans can follow the action several ways – by watching on PassThaBallLive, via live stats or by tuning in to the Wright State Radio Network - 101.5 FM 'The Fridge' and WING 1410 AM. Chris Collins and Justin Kinner will have all the play-by-play on the radio feed.

Fans can tune into 101.5 FM 'The Fridge' or WING 1410 AM live over the air in the Dayton metro area, as well stream the station live nationwide through a variety of free streaming apps. The iHeartRadio app, the TuneIn Radio app and the Audacy app are all FREE and each carry both stations. LAST TIME OUT 
Wright State saw three players turn in double-digit scoring nights, but the Raiders fell 81-71 on Tuesday to visiting Toledo in a game of runs. Michael Imariagbe paced Wright State with a team-high 17 points on 7-of-9 shooting to go along with five rebounds and a pair of blocks, while Michael Cooper had a complete stat line of 15 points with two rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block. Dominic Pangonis was the third Raider in double digits with 13 points, aided by a 6-of-7 mark at the free throw line as he added a trio of rebounds.

COOP NAMED HL FROSH OF WEEK
Michael Cooper was named the Horizon League Freshman of the Week on Monday, Nov. 10. Cooper had a pair of double-digit scoring performances, including a team-high 17 points at Cal after 10 points and six rebounds against Franklin.

NOVEMBER TOURNAMENT ACTION
Wright State has been up-and-down its recent MTE past. The Raiders have played in November MTE action in five of the last six seasons, dating back to the 2019-20 season, playing three times in Florida in that span with visits to Myrtle Beach and Las Vegas as well. The Raiders are 7-8 over those five MTEs – coming off a 1-2 trip last year in the Myrtle Beach Invitational.

GREENBRIER NUGGETS
- Radford has opened the year 2-1 with home wins over Western Illinois and West Virginia Wesleyan before a road loss at North Carolina on Tuesday.
- Radford finished 20-13 last season with a 9-7 Big South record, ending the year in the semifinals of the Big South Tournament. Radford was 7-9 in true road contests last season but 3-1 in neutral matchups. 
- Wright State and Radford have never met on the hardwood.

- Kent State dropped its season-opener at home to Troy in overtime before back-to-back home wins over Cornell and UNC Wilmington.
- Kent State was 24-12 in 2024-25 with an 11-7 MAC record, advancing to the NIT Quarterfinals. 
- The Raiders have faced Kent State seven times, with four of those meetings since 2016, in a short series with the in-state foe that dates back to the 1973-74 campaign.

MIKE AND MIKE
Michael Imariagbe has opened the season with three-straight double-digit scoring performances, leading the Raiders in scoring against Franklin (13pts) and Toledo (17pts). This start comes after he ended 2024-25 with three straight contests of 10-plus points, a streak that saw him tally double digits scoring in five of the last seven games overall last season. 

Michael Cooper has three straight double-digit scoring games of his own to begin his collegiate career - turning in 10pts against Franklin before a team-best 17pts at Cal and then 15 against Toledo. Cooper was named the Horizon League's Freshman of the Week on Nov. 10 for his hot start to the year.
