Four in double figures as Raider defense swarms Radford

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, WV – The Wright State men's basketball team opened action at the Greenbrier Tip-Off with a convincing 92-59 victory over Radford on Saturday afternoon a four Raiders tallied double figures scoring and they held Radford to just 36 percent shooting in the win.
Wright State (2-2) wraps up the weekend in West Virginia with a Sunday noon tipoff against Kent State, who improved to 3-1 after a 102-95 win over Cleveland State earlier Saturday as five players scored in double figures for Kent State.

The Raiders led by eight at the break over Radford (2-2) before coming out and tallying six of the first eight second half points to gain some breathing room. Wright State then went on a 17-5 run thanks in part to six points by both Solomon Callaghan and Michael Cooper during the stretch to extend the margin to 22 points and never looked back.
Wright State held Radford to just five three pointers as part of Radford's shooting struggles, with the Raiders holding Radford to 32 percent shooting in the first half on the way to the 36 percent overall mark. The Raiders forced Radford into 15 turnovers that they cashed in for 16 points as Wright State swiped eight steals.
Offensively, it was a group effort for the Raiders, as 12 players saw the floor and 10 found the scoring column, leading to 34 total points from the bench as Callaghan notched a game-high 20 points, with 15 coming in the second half, as he connected on five three-pointers. Cooper tallied 17 points of his own on 6-of-9 shooting and both Dominic Pangonis and Logan Woods finished with 11 points and a combined seven assists. Michael Imariagbe (six points) grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds as Andrea Holden (four points) added nine boards off the bench. Wright State finished with 42 total rebounds, including 31 on the defensive glass as the Raiders limited Radford's offensive opportunities.
Wright State finished the win shooting 51 percent overall with a 13-of-20 mark (65 percent) from three-point range and a 70 percent mark at the free throw line after 27 trips to the stripe.
Dennis Parker, Jr. led Radford with 15 points as the lone player in double figures scoring while Tyson Brown added eight points and 11 rebounds in the loss.
