DAYTON – Wright State head golf coach Conner Lash has announced the signing of two golfers who will continue their academic and athletic careers at Wright State next fall, adding Andrew Gochenouer and Aiden Standifer as the newest Raiders.
Here's some background on both signees:
Andrew Gochenouer: From Dayton, Ohio and Alter High School, Gochenouer is a four-time OHSAA Division II golf state champion and was the OHSAA Division II individual state runner-up in 2025. Gochenouer was a 2025 first team All-State performer after back-to-back All-State second team honors in 2023 and 2024. He was named first-team All-GCL in 2024 and 2025 after a second team All-GCL nod in 2023. A member of the All-Southwest District first team in 2024 and 2025, Gochenouer was a second team All-Southwest District selection in 2023. Gochenouer also plays basketball at Alter and won a state championship. In the classroom, he currently holds a 3.9 GPA.
Aiden Standifer: From Franklin, Ohio and Franklin High School, Standifer is a three-time state qualifier as an individual player – the first player in Franklin High history to qualify for state as an individual – and is the two-time SWBL Player of the Year as well as a four-time all-league performer. A two-time district winner, he has the lowest three-year scoring average in the SWBL and is member of the All-Southwest District first team after being a two-time second team All-Southwest District selection. Standifer holds multiple Franklin High School records, including: lowest scoring average for a single season (68.20), low 18-hole round record (65) and low nine-hole round record (30). In the classroom, he is a four-time honor roll recipient and is a member of the National Honors Society.
