Raiders Slip at Canisius Friday Night

BUFFALO, N.Y.- The Wright State women's basketball team slipped on the road at Canisius Friday night, falling to the Golden Griffins 60-65
Wright State (5-7) will resume conference play on Tuesday, December 16, on the road against Youngstown State. Tip-off in Youngstown is set for 6:30 p.m.
Two Raiders finished in double digits, with Ellie Magestro-Kennedy leading the team with 12 points, followed by Olivia Brown with 11. Brown also set a new career high with five steals. Claire Henson snagged a team-high six rebounds.
Wright State struggled in the first half, shooting 38.5% from the floor and just 25% from behind the arc, while Canisius shot 46.2% from the floor and 55.6% from behind the arc to build an eight-point halftime lead.

In the middle of the fourth quarter, Wright State went on a 7-0 run that gave the Raiders a five-point lead with just under three minutes left to play. Following the Wright State run, Canisius went on a 10-0 run to finish the game and win on its home court.
In the box score, Wright State led Canisius in points in the paint 26-24 and bench points 28-14, but the Raiders trailed in rebounds (17-49), second chance points (8-18), and fast break points (6-8).
