Men's Basketball tips off 2026 Thursday afternoon

DAYTON - The Wright State men's basketball team begins the 2026 calendar year with a Thursday afternoon matchup inside the Nutter Center against visiting Milwaukee in Horizon League action. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m., and fans can follow the action several ways - watching on ESPN+, via live stats or by tuning in to the Wright State Radio Network - 101.5 FM 'The Fridge' and WING 1410 AM. Chris Collins and Jim Brown will have all the play-by-play on the radio and television feeds.
Fans can tune into 101.5 FM 'The Fridge' or WING 1410 AM live over the air in the Dayton metro area, as well stream the station live nationwide through a variety of free streaming apps. The iHeartRadio app, the TuneIn Radio app and the Audacy app are all FREE and each carry both stations. ed the Wright State men's basketball team to an 88-73 home victory over visiting Oakland in Horizon League action on Monday night as the Raiders closed out the 2025 calendar year with a bang. Callaghan connected on a career-best six three-pointers, including five in the first half, on his way to a 20-point night, just one point shy of his career high, while Burch finished with 17 points and had six steals, both new career highs of his own. Michael Imariagbe had a 15-point night, while Dominic Pangonis turned in 10 points.

Wright State has won its first game of the new calendar year in each of the last six seasons entering Thursday's matchup. The Raiders are 20-6 in their first games each January dating back to January 3, 2000.
MILWAUKEE MATCHUP
Wright State and Milwaukee have met 75 times previously, with the Raiders holding a 39-36 lead over Milwaukee in the series, including wins in 10 of the last 16 meetings. The first meeting came back on Jan. 17, 1977 in Milwaukee, a 75-66 Panther win. The first Wright State home game was the following year - a 71-69 Raider win on Feb. 13, 1978.
