
Cook named Horizon League Athlete of the Week

INDIANAPOLIS/DAYTON — Wright State track and field freshman Thomas Cook has been named the Horizon League Athlete of the Week, the League announced on Tuesday.
Cook opened his collegiate career by winning the men's high jump over the weekend at the Tiger Opener, tallying a new school record clearance of 2.10 meters (6'10.75"). The mark currently sits Thomas currently sits tied for 11th on the NCAA Qualifying List.Â
Wright State is now on a month-long break from competition for the holidays after last weekend's opening action of the indoor season at the GVSU Holiday Open and Tiger Opener. The Raiders return to action at the Mastodon Invitational on January 17, kicking off a stretch that will see the Raiders compete in eight competitions ahead of the Horizon League Indoor Championships on February 28 and March 1, hosted by Youngstown State.
