DAYTON- The Wright State women's soccer team (2-5) will wrap up the non-conference portion of their schedule on Thursday, September 11 as they travel up north to take on Central Michigan. Kick off in Mount Pleasant is slated for 4 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Raiders shut out Chicago State 1-0 at Alumni Field on Sunday afternoon. 
Caitlin Burger would score the game winning goal for the Raiders just after halftime in the 46
th minute. The junior took the ball from one of the Chicago State players, dribbled the ball into space, and send a right-footed strike past the outstretched goalkeeper.
 
SCOUTING THE CHIPPEWAS
Central Michigan enters Thursday with a 0-5 record on the season. After having the largest senior class in NCAA Division I with 15 seniors in 2024 the Chippewas welcomed in 15 newcomers in 2025 with seven true freshman and eight transfers.
HISTORY VS. CENTRAL MICHIGAN
Sunday afternoon's match up will mark the sixth meeting all time between Wright State and Central Michigan, a series that the Chippewas lead 2-1-2 all-time. The two squads last met in the 2023 season in Mount Pleasant, a game that resulted in a 0-0 draw.

UP NEXT
Following Thursday's match the Raiders will remain on the road to open up Horizon League play against Purdue Fort Wayne on Thursday, September 18. Kickoff in Fort Wayne is slated for 7 p.m.
 
BURGER QUEEN
Wright State juniors, 
Caitlin Burger, has been a spark for the Raiders offensively. Her seven points and three goals are both good for the team lead. Burger has recorded a goal in three separate contests, scoring against Fairmont State, Louisville, and Chicago State.
SIZING UP THE 2025 SQUAD
WSU welcomes eight newcomers — including seven freshmen — to this season's roster. The Raiders' 34-player roster includes the seven freshmen, six sophomores, 10 juniors, nine seniors and a pair of graduate students.

Wright State's 2025 roster features 24 players from Ohio – including 14 from the Dayton metro area (Beavercreek, Bellbrook, Dayton, Miamisburg, Springboro, Tipp City, Troy, Vandalia, Xenia).
