Women’s Soccer Remains Home Sunday Afternoon

DAYTON- The Wright State women's soccer team (1-5) remains home at Alumni Field on Sunday, September 7 for as Chicago State comes into town. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Raiders came up just short against Bellarmine Thursday evening at Alumni Field. After Bellarmine opened the scoring in the eighth minute the Raiders responded with a goal of their own thanks to senior, Samara Nunn. Bellarmine would deliver the game winner in the 51st minute to seal their victory.
 
SCOUTING THE COUGARS
Chicago State has a balanced 2-2-2 record coming into Alumni Field. A pair of sophomores have done a majority of the damage in front of net with Gabby Flores and Maya Dixon each scoring a pair of goals on the season.  Chicago State is coming off of a 1-0 shutout victory over Hampton that saw goalkeeper Aviana Gutierrez record 12 saves.

Sunday afternoon's match up will mark the first ever meeting between Wright State and Chicago State.

Following Thursday's match the Raiders will hit the road and trevel to face Central Michigan on Thursday, September 11. First touch is set for 4 p.m.
 
JUNIOR POWER
Wright State juniors, Caitlin Burger and Ruby Dunlevy, have provided a spark for the Raiders offensively. The duo each have a pair of goals and an assist on the young 2025 campaign. Each junior recorded a goal and an assist against Fairmont State with Burger and Dunlevy scoring their second goals at Louisville and against Marshall respectively.

SIZING UP THE 2025 SQUAD
WSU welcomes eight newcomers — including seven freshmen — to this season's roster. The Raiders' 34-player roster includes the seven freshmen, six sophomores, 10 juniors, nine seniors and a pair of graduate students.

OHIO STRONG
Wright State's 2025 roster features 24 players from Ohio – including 14 from the Dayton metro area (Beavercreek, Bellbrook, Dayton, Miamisburg, Springboro, Tipp City, Troy, Vandalia, Xenia).
