
Raiders selected atop Horizon League preseason poll

DAYTON/INDIANAPOLIS – For the seventh straight season, the Wright State golf team has been voted the top team in the Horizon League Men's Golf Preseason Poll, announced by the Horizon League office on Thursday afternoon. The poll was voted on by the League's head coaches.

Wright State finished the fall with four top five team finishes, including finishing tied for third at the Earl Yestingmeier Invitational and a pair of fourth-place finishes at the Golden Grizzlies Intercollegiate and Virtues Intercollegiate.

The Raiders begin the spring portion of their schedule at the Lake Jovita Invitational February 9 and 10 at Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club in Florida, the first of six tournaments ahead of the 2026 Horizon League Championship in late April.

Wright State captured its ninth Horizon League Championship last spring, the second-most all-time in the Horizon, while the Raiders have won fourth team championships in the last six seasons. The Raiders finished with six top-five finishes in 12 total tournaments this season spanning the fall and spring schedule, highlighted by three-straight team titles in April – at The Jewell, Wright State Invitational and Horizon League Championship. Timmy Hollenbeck and Ochs earned Horizon League Co-Golfer of the Year honors and Conner Lash was recognized as the League's Coach of the Year, with Hollenbeck and Ochs both also named to the seven-member HL Golf All-Academic Team.
