Hollenbeck leads Raiders after opening day action

ST. SIMONS ISLAND, GA – The Wright State golf team is four-over as a group after the opening 18 holes at The Peoples Championship, with Timmy Hollenbeck leading the way individually in a tie for fourth after a four-under first round.

The Raiders will get the second round going on Friday morning beginning at 8:30 a.m. before Sunday's final round.

On Thursday, Hollenbeck carded six birdies, including four on the back nine, to go with a pair of bogeys to finish with his four-under 67. Ian Asch is tied for 35th after an even par round of 71, tallying five birdies that were balanced out by a triple bogey on the par four 10th hole, while Landon Harris, playing as an individual, is tied for 46th after a one-over opening round that saw him play the front nine at even par before an up-and-down back nine that featured three birdies, a pair of bogeys and a double bogey on the 18th on the way to his 72.

Shane Ochs notched a three-over 74 in his opening 18 holes, working through a pair of double bogeys on two par fives to sit in a tie for 71st, while Adam Horn and CJ Scohy are each five-over in a tie for 92nd after opening rounds of 76.
